OOTORO takes to noir sur blanc for clever two-part EP, ‘Fishy’

It seems as if every time OOTORO‘s name comes up, we’re attempting to figure out how to rephrase our stance that he stands near the front of the house music newcomer line. OOTORO was untouchable across the year’s first half, and as 2021 takes its turn to the latter six months, he’s cashing in on a sophomore EP, hiking from Indonesia over to France for a grand entrance onto noir sur blanc with Fishy.Adding to his 2021 narrative that already includes at least one guaranteed placement in Dancing Astronaut‘s eventual tracks of the year playlist, OOTORO doubles up on the French imprint with a pair of “Blessing Mix” IDs that can be traced back to May. Both OOTORO and his Indonesian partner-in-crime Bleu Clair have been digging out their own inimitable house trail, with the former refining that dexterity once more on “Poser” and “Counterfeit,” integrating ’90s hip-hop samples and choice tech-house for an EP that’s anything but Fishy.Featured image: OOTORO/InstagramTags: ,
