Le Youth recently synced up with Canadian duo Sultan + Shepard, who “drove thru hellish LA traffic to [his] studio last week,” to synthesize an ethereal new single. Released via This Never Happened, “Skipping Stones” consists of “mega summer vibes,” as described by Sultan + Shepard on Twitter. Le Youth’s recent string of releases has been impressively consistent, coming off a May 26 Anjunabeats offering, “Mirage,” and a Catie Turner remix that hit streaming platforms on May 7. “Skipping Stones” arrives on the heels of Sultan + Shepard’s sophomore album, Something, Everything, and precedes Le Youth’s nearly finished studio LP, which is evidently still nameless. In a Facebook post, Le Youth labeled Sultan + Shepard as “two of the most talented artists in electronic music,” following up with, “just listen to their album if you don’t believe me.” The “C O O L” producer’s Canadian counterparts expressed like-minded sentiments via their track announcement, saying“Skipping Stones” is now streaming everywhere.Featured image: Le Youth/FacebookTags: Le Youth, skipping stones, Sultan + Shepard, TNH
