In April, Habstrakt made his debut on Insomniac Records with “Show Me” after teasing the single at Insomniac’s HARD Summer virtual festival. Seven months later, the bass house king marks his return to the label with the fiery “Gotta Be.” “This next release is a big one for me,” Habstrakt said. “[This is] one of my favorite vocal records in a while with a big nod to the ’17 Habby sounds.” “Gotta Be” caps off a year of monstrous singles from the French producer. On top of one-offs like “Es Isso” and “Free,” Habstrakt’s year highlights include his blazing remix of DJ Snake‘s “Trust Nobody” and his return to Never Say Die Records with Badjokes. Most recently, Habby flipped Ghastly and Karra‘s “Help” for an entry on the track’s remix package. On December 4, Habstrakt will be performing at a socially distant event in Orlando with NGHTMRE and WAVEDASH.
