Meet MaWayy. The project is a musical collabroation between Emmy award winning Brian Wayy and Iranian producer, Masoud Fouladi Moghaddam. Masoud – one of the genre’s most important figures in the country’s electronic dance community. The pairing between these two is serendipitous, brought together by a love of the genre. Brian and Masoud formed MaWayy back in 2015 as a channel for a creative expression that spanned the globe. On their latest “Calling Her My Name,” the duo collaborated from Wayy’s home in Los Angeles, to Masoud’s in Bandar-e Anzali, Iran. Distanced by timezones, the pair blended their production skills and influences to create a track so cleanly produced it might as well be surgical. Fresh and fun, “Calling” is the type bubbly electro pop gem with razor sharp hooks and an all too relatable top line that you won’t be able to get out of your head.Tags: MaWayy
