Louis The Child delay debut LP, ‘Here For Now’ to focus on anti-racism efforts

Louis The Child are delaying the release of their debut LP, Here For Now, to “stay focused on contributing” to the Black Lives Matter movement. According to the duo,

“We’re excited for you to hear [the album] , but right now we need to keep out focus on this movement. We encourage you to keep your foot on the gas, keep educating, keep donating, keep showing up in the streets with us, and remember to vote!”

In an Instagram post, the two-piece electronic outfit announced that the 14-song offering, which was originally slated to arrive June 12 Interscope Records, would instead release on June 26. Citing the “historical” nature of the current circumstances, Louis The Child pledged to continue supporting efforts to combat systemic racism and urged their listeners to follow suit.

Here For Now is led by a series of previously released one-offs, “Nobody Like You,” “Little Things,” “Every Color,” “Don’t Mind,” and “Free,” and features EARTHGANGK.FlayDuckwrthBob Moses, and Everything’s Okay.
