The house music stars aligned over California this summer. Tchami and ZHU swept the decks, side by side, at the now Insomniac-owned HARD Summer for an hour of four-on-the-floor insanity amid the August heat.
Such a venerated pairing isn’t surprising in the least for those who’ve been following HARD’s iconoclastic narrative for the past decade (and change); and the titillating twosome certainly rose to the brand’s legacy. The dexterous duo treated the audience to standout renditions of each DJ’s eminent discography, like a “Guilty Love” remix and an Umek “Vibrancy”/”After Life” mashup.
The hour is chock-full of revered house cuts, alongside Tchami and ZHU staples. The performance is undoubtedly among the best sets of not only the bygone weekend, but the entire 2019 festival season.
