Captivating the bass scene with his impeccable sound design, QUIX has pushed forward relentlessly since his breakthrough with an accumulation of ever-evolving productions. Shelving collaborations with heavyweights Adventure Club and Alison Wonderland on “Life Long After Death” and “TIME” respectively, the New Zealand producer embarked on his headlining Force of Nature tour and released four-track project IDK [Vol. 1] within the span of the year. Now, QUIX takes on his latest track with his ear-splitting remix of Rynx‘s, “Burn It Up.”
Whereas the original track encapsulates a melodic dubstep and trap fusion, QUIX’s rendition has no qualms about its hard-hitting stylings. Keeping in tune with the cinematic verses, choirs juxtapose industrial percussion and metallic synths while clanging cowbells surveil the build-up to a detrimental drop—strewn with unforgiving bass and wobbling top lines. QUIX then maneuvers into trap territory with the shift into the second drop delivering an equally unforgiving breakdown.
