The EDM invertebrate LILO returns with another energetic original rework of a classic. After a killer remake of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” the mysterious production project takes on Milky Chance’s 2013 smash hit “Stolen Dance.” Little is known about the South Korean artist behind the 8-armed alias but what is known is the cephalopod’s aptitude for infectious instrumentals. The original “Stolen Dance” was already a certifiable ear worm but this dance floor theft feels distinctly original. LILO’s take on the German folk hit doesn’t sound like a cover. It’s a complete and fresh re-imagination that brings together hard bass, groovy bass lines, and ankle-grabbing instrumentals. That’s three in a row for the anonymous producer.
