DâWN goes into space.
After taking fans through a post-apocalyptic scene in her fashion film “Wake Up,” the singer enters an intergalactic zone in “Not Above That.”
The 3D VR visual is a space odyssey where viewers zoom by planets in a spacecraft filled with fantasy elements, choreographed dancing, and psychedelic effects. Asteroids and explosions fill the air as animated scenes flash across the screen.
“Instead of just shooting people in 360, we wanted to make you feel presence in another dimension,” DâWN told WIRED. “Instead of a VR piece that’s just images, we want to add storytelling to that platform.”
DâWN is one of the first artists to try her hand at this 3D VR approach and it follows her headlining set at YouTube’s first-ever live 360 performance stream in April.
Now, Richard is traveling through Europe for spot dates in the U.K., Portugal, Germany, France, and Denmark for the rest of the month. Plus, she’s gearing up to drop RED*emp*tion this fall.
