Original Story (December 17, 2015):
As Jay Z continues to make moves expanding his empire, thereâs one artist who isnât too thrilled about it, British singer Rita Ora.
On Thursday (December 17th), the 25-year-old filed a complaint against Jay Zâs Roc Nation label claiming that the company has not been taking care of her since it expanded into sports management and other interests.
According to sources, the “Body On Me” singer originally signed with Roc Nation back in 2008, when she was 18 years old. Now that itâs been seven years since, she can potentially invoke Californiaâs âseven year rule,” since she now resides in California.
Rita also claims that she has been âhamstrungâ after the label switched partners from Sony to Universal in 2013.
