Celebrating it’s 19th anniversary, Insomniac Events brought their world famous Nocturnal Wonderland back to San Bernadino for 2-days of heart racing dance music. As America’s longest running music festival, it is easy to see why Nocturnal Wonderland has become such a fan favorite.

This year, Insomniac Events curated a festival ground to leave fans in wonder and amazement. For Nocturnal Wonderland 2014, the festival grounds featured 3 massive stages – Labyrinth, Queen’s Ground, Sunken Gardens – that house majority of the festivals artists. A highlight for the festival was the inclusion of the UpsideDown Room, which housed the house & techno artist, and featured a number of pieces of furniture on the ceiling. As well, the EDC developed Lily Pond make its Nocturnal debut and featured a number of artists playing sets there as well.

While the festival grounds left nothing to the imagination besides of sense of wonder and wimsy, the original reaction from fans was that the lineup felt a little “lack-luster”. But once the artists took the stage, all perceptions went out the window and the fans were in for a special event. Friday featured a number of incredible performances including trance artists Jaytech, Super8 & Tab, and Myon & Shane all performing on the Queen’s Ground that was headlined by artists Tritonal & Dyro.

Friday night also had a number of incredible house performances from the likes of Le Youth, Moon Boots, and Amtrac. As well, fans were able to rejoice at the end of the night with a big room set from Mat Zo, followed by the youngest Beatport #1 holder Martin Garrix who played to the crowd featuring a set that the fans can sing and dance along to.

Saturday at Nocturnal Wonderland featured some memorable performances. EDX took over the main stage and did an incredible job of combining Euro Deep House & Big Room tracks, giving his set a different, yet energetic flare. But the most talked about performance of the night night was the Mat Zo classic trance set. This was the performance that drew everyone out to the festival and left people is shock and awe.
