Slaughterhouse’s Joe Budden has finally delivered a long-rumored new diss song called “Making a Murderer Pt. 1” aimed directly at OVO Sound boss Drake.
On the new diss record, Budden also fires off some verbal shots at Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill and rap mogul Jay Z.
“Since the OG’s Hov, here’s what I wanna know,” he raps. “If ain’t no real n*ggas allowed the f*ck would I wanna go? / That’s thinkin’ back to Jay, now let’s get back to Drake / Both too big to respond to all I have to say / Still with all their success and all their accolades / The universe makes it so they come right back to me.” Aside from aiming at Jay and Drake, Joe also fires a line at Meek Mill. “No alliances with Meek,” he raps. “It’s still f*ck him too.” (Rap-Up)
Joey has since explained the motivation for dropping the diss record.
“If it were really a matter of importance,” he says, “him and I could jump on the phone.” Instead, Budden wants to reignite the “uninspired” MC, and bring back real hip-hop, as he sees it. “I come from a hip-hop where if you didn’t have something to say, then, n*gga, what the f*ck were you rapping for,” Budden says. Last night (July 29), Joey scolded Meek for name-checking him on social media.
Yesterday (June 29), a screenshot surfaced of Meek bashing Budden and denying rumors about having a diss record aimed at him.
